Description

+6 AP for Kraken
(2 for being dumb and drawing out a fullbody before covering it up, 1 for shading only half of it, 2 for a full background, 1 for 375 words)

For as much time as he spent on the water, the Kraken was distinctly uncomfortable being in it. But there had been no choice. Like some sort of naive foal he had trusted them, sent his ship to its death, and wasted precious escape time. Because of him the only option left had been to throw himself overboard and hope that he could make it to the Rancor. His hide had crawled as one by one the other rogues on the Huntress had jumped into the black waters. He had looked over his shoulder as if there might still be some chance to stay on deck, but the sight of his own ship being swallowed whole had pushed him over the edge.

The water's cold embrace shocked him, with the odd feeling of the scagwryr's sludge bubbling around him. This was it. If he still had wings he could have simply flown away. Left them all behind easily. Now he was left taking his chances on the Rancor, having to face the others - Ceto in particular - about his gullible mistake, or dying here in the water. For a brief moment he wasn't sure which was worse. But as the air bubbles began to fizz and pop around him, and the water swept up his mane and began to pull him down his eyes opened wide.

He had meant what he'd said on the ship. He would not allow Cascade to take him. If she took him, he would be reborn. AS A FISH. And that was not something he could live - or die - with. He would only die once he was on dry land. Or at least a boat. That way Alya or whatever other god cared to take him could, and remake him in their image. Just not a wing-hating fish. He twisted his body, suddenly acutely aware of how the impact of the water had effected his (admittedly aging) body. All his joints were sore, and a headache was creeping up the back of his skull, but he kicked his legs as hard as he could. He would make it to the Rancor, or he would get eaten by the scagwryr. But he would not drown. Not today, Cascade.

I had higher hopes for everything about this. But I got bored with it. So there you go.

This is right between my last post on the chapter 4 RP, and the end post.

loove the detail of the airbubbles coming out his nose!
